Here We Go Again!

And we're off again, to another country this time. We're heading southeast to the Greek island of Crete. We are heading out tonight and hope to be there by tomorrow evening. It isn't that long of a trip, but we're taking it easy and giving ourselves some time to relax.

The good (maybe not so good) part of this trip.... we have absolutely no expectations. Many times when we travel, we do a lot of research, plan events ahead of time, and know what we are doing. With this trip... we are simply just going. We have nothing planned, don't know a ton about the island, and not sure what to expect. We want to travel up to the island of Santorini and possibly Mykonos. The hard part is, it is there off season and as far as we can figure out, a ferrie runs only once a week, which would be Wednesday morning at 4:00am. We fly in Tuesday night. The port that the ferrie leaves from is 3 hours away, which would require us to rent a car Tuesday night and start driving around 12:30am. We aren't sure if that sounds like fun or not. Yes we want to go to the other islands, but we aren't sure if we want to take that on. We have decided we'll wait and decide when we get there. Sounds like a plan doesn't it!!!

So, like I said.... no expectations for this trip. Whatever happens, happens. Whatever doesn't, that's ok too. We are going to simply relax and enjoy our time together! It's been amazing getting to spend all the days together lately, without having to go to work or having other priorities. It will just be an added bonus to be together in Crete!

Unfortunately for this trip, we still have to wear our coats. Their temps are only in the 50's. No sun bathing this time!! But.... the snow will be seen only on the mountain tops. We won't have to be walking through it!
